Coco Books
This collaboration between Lilly and Disney has been really great for our family. These are stories about Coco the monkey, a friend of Mickey Mouse and his pals, who is diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. There's 4 different books about her diagnosis and her living her life with Type 1 that we love. These books have helped normalize Type 1 for Aiyla. It's also been a great way for us to introduce Type 1 in a really casual way to all her cousins. We managed to find an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Coco in it as well! We have all the physical copies from the JDRF Type One Nation events we go to every year, but you can always read the digital versions online too.
